To install WordPress, first you need to login into Plesk control panel.
On the left menu you can select WordPress.
If you already imported a website with WordPress and only needs to identify the current installation, you need to click on SCAN
If it is your first installation, or you would like to start from scratch, click on INSTALL
NB! If the WordPress core is crashed or you need to restore something, or update, installing again will overwrite the files and the website will be from zero. Check how to restore a backup or check with your developer if you need further help.
Before installing, WordPress also needs some information:
The path for the installation (you can install on main domain folder or in a directory, specifying on the first line.
The website title (you can change this later).
The username and the password to login. The WordPress of your website will be accessible directly from https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin and those are the credentials for this login. The email will be also the admin email for WordPress, used to rest password and to control the account.
Clicking on DATABASE you can use defaults settings or chose the database name, username and password to easily access later.
And for AUTOMATIC UPDATE SETTINGS, it helps you to turn on and off automatically WordPress and plugins updates. WordPress release updates regularly, and to keep safety and without any vulnerabilities, it is recommended to update plugins and CMS regularly.
