You can set up your mail account in Apple Mail following the steps below:
- Create your email and password in Plesk
- Open Apple Mail, select the “Other Mail Account” option, and then click Continue.
3. Specify the following information and then click Sign In:
- The name that will be displayed in your emails.
- Your full email address personalized with your domain, for example, mail@example.com.
- The password of your email account.
4. Select your account type. To keep the copies of email messages on the server, select “IMAP”. If you do not want to keep them on the server, select POP.
IMAP/POP:
- Incoming mail server: your-domain-name.ext
- username: your full email address
- password: your password
- use TLS: ON
- server port: 993 (IMAP, our preference)
- alternate server port: 995 (POP3)
SMTP:
- Outgoing mail server: domain name.ext
- username: your full email address
- password: your password
- use TLS: ON
- server port: 587 (STARTTLS, our preference)
- alternate server port: 465 (SSL)
5. Specify the domain names of the incoming and outgoing mail servers and then click Sign In.
6. Once the settings are verified, choose what apps you want to use with the mail account and then click Done.
You are all set!
To add to your iOS (iPhone/iPad), the steps are really similar:
- Open the Mail on your device and select to add a new account - Other:
- For the details you need to add your name, the email and your password:
- You need to fill the information below:
- Name/name of the email's account
- The email you are adding, and the description you would like.
- Host name: mail.yourdomain.ext (you need to swap yourdomain.ext by your domain).
- The password of your email.
- To send the email, you also need the outgoing email server, smtp.yourdomain.ext
