Premium DNS

Recently, in addition to our existing DNS, we also offer a Premium version of the DNS on our own servers.

Where our own DNS is already spread all over the world, so that there is always a server nearby, and the risk that all our servers are offline at the same time is minimized, this service is even more robust. Instead of 4 own servers, this involves a larger number. These servers are also spread all over the world. In addition, these servers are more resistant to DDoS attacks.

The management of the DNS on these servers does not differ from the existing DNS editor. In fact, to use the Premium DNS, the editor will have to be opened.

In the Editor there is a new link, which can be used to activate Premium DNS: "Upgrade your DNS now".

Clicking on that link opens a page where you will have to agree to the costs (€6 on an annual basis). After placing a check mark for approval, the current DNS will be copied (this may take a while)

If you now save the zone, it will be saved on our new servers.

Two more actions are now necessary:

• Adjusting the DNS servers. To use the Premium DNS, they must refer to:
  ns1.premium-dns.net
  ns2.premium-dns.net
  ns3.premium-dns.net
  ns4.premium-dns.net
  
  

DNSSEC will have to be removed manually and then added again. This is NOT done automatically.
